Kitchen Pantry Reveal !

I {finally} completed my pantry makeover! 

I mentioned in June {wow it took me a while to finish this} that I was going to redo my kitchen pantry here.  I ripped out the old shelves, painted, stenciled, installed new shelves, and organized all my goods.

Here's a before/after shot:

I will definitely be writing a couple more posts about the project explaining the steps... but for now I just want to sit back and show off my final reveal!

The organization makes me so happy!

I even took out a shelf {originally had 5, now 4} but since everything is organized and has its own spot, I ended up with way more room!

I'm even able to store my most frequently used craft supplies, my camera and its accessories so they're always in arms reach.

The containers are from Home Goods for $7 and I used some twine to add a piece of slate I had spray painted with chalkboard paint to label what's inside. And I scored that beautiful crate holding the paper towels for $5 off Craigslist.

While part of the makeover was for function and installing wood shelves, a large motivation was for its appearance so I added the boards in the back to add a dramatic flare and help blend in the side support bars. {Here's my one and only regret after having completed the project, I wish I had made these have longer in height for an even more dramatic backdrop but was nervous they'd be too overwhelming and hide the stencil design.}

The gorgeous stencil I used is from Cutting Edge Stencils.  Once again returned to this company for their awesome and high quality stencils {previously used their stencil on my curtains}.  The stencil I used was the Fuji which can be found here.  I will most certaintly be doing a whole post on stenciling the pantry as it was a VERY difficult task stenciling on our textured walls. 

As I said before I am just {LOVING} the organization I have now for the pantry!

Everything has a home...

A stroke of genius happened when I was trying to figure out the best way to organize our cans.  I grabbed a magazine holder that was previously used for our cookbooks and recipes, tilted it on its back and VOILA:

It's the PERFECT size to hold our little cans of veggies!  The two little stoppers are bobby pins I flattened and spray painted white!

UPDATED: Due to a years worth of inquiries I want to point out again, that this a magazine holder I originally purchased from HomeGoods.  However, these cans are not traditional size, they are the "little" cans that are about half the size of regular cans.  I have seen wider magazine holders at various stores but I am not certain they would fit traditional cans either.

The organization continues....

Jars were collected from random spots of Goodwill, Home Goods and thrift stores and used black vinyl {always purchased from my great sponsor Everyday Vinyl} to create labels for the jars.

To keep things neat I kept all the baking goods tucked into cheap pine wood boxes that were $1 each which I stained and labeled.

Put all the loose packets of tea, hot cocoa, apple cider, kool aid etc... into a big jar conveniently tucked next to our big pitcher.

We are a big on pasta kind of family and always have plenty of it around so to help with the organization I put the sauces right with the noodles.  Makes for quick grabs when it's time to start dinner.

One last look:

I love it and most of the time now I keep those massive double doors open because I actually don't mind seeing into our pantry anymore!
