{New Series} All About You– Becky of B Designs

It’s another week of the All About You Series! I was so excited when Becky contacted me to be featured on All About You for her business.  It’s another perfect example of an amazing creative person that doesn’t have their own platform to show off their amazing talents!  She started her own design company and I just love this bedroom makeover she recently completed.

{Hello there} Becky Hunt, Owner/Designer at B Designs, here to share a few words about a space I’ve just completed! You can find my work on Facebook at B Designs. “Like” me if you enjoy! Make sure you check out my fabulous photographer’s page as well at NicCole Photography. I have been painting canvas and murals, refinishing and re-furbishing furniture, and designing spaces since I can remember and all throughout college and now it is MY JOB! How lucky am I! This particular space that PB&Jstories is {so kindly} featuring is a space that I love! My client came to me in desperate need of organization for her and her sweet 2 year old little boy! She had no where to store her school work and toys were everywhere (as mothers can imagine)! So she needed the space to be functional for her and her little one and also where her friends and family can sit back and relax while her little man plays. So here is a little overview of
“The Loft Space” by B Designs
{The Details}
Not only did my client enjoy her “mood board” I created for the space, but together we picked out paint samples, furniture, pulled some pieces she had already, and came up with a great space that works for her and her family! In my work I have found a way to combine my passion for painting with my OBSESSION for interior design. So I have taken key pieces of the room to show you have I achieved the combo in this space! My client’s son is very into to trains, cars, and anything mobile (like any 2 year old boy, right?). This little man doesn’t even know his play area functions as a HUGE player in this room! Little Z's race track doubles as their coffee table with storage for all of their fun toys and nick knacks underneath! Gotta LOVE Ikea! I sanded down the top of this piece, painted the scene, and topped with a waterproof varnish material that I love {Super Glaze}.
We also thought the space needed a learning spot for her little one and in my nature it is {go big or go home}! So I created an alphabet and numbers wall for little Z.
And spruced up his chairs that we placed at his chalkboard/creative center of the room!
I added fun painted letters for a pop art effect to the room presented on shelving to bring the color scheme together! I am in love with silhouettes so of course I had to add a hand painted one in as well! I also added some text to the lamp shade we picked out for the space with some lyrics from her son’s favorite movie “Toy Story”. Enjoy!
The angle of the room is a little hard to get in one image to here are a few for you to enjoy!

BEAUTIFUL RIGHT!? There are so many different areas of that room I just want to scoop up and put in my own son’s room. It’s all adorable.  Thank you so much Becky for sharing such a wonderful room makeover!

If you’re interested in having your own work featured but don’t have a blog to showcase it – you’re a perfect fit for the All About You series so be sure to submit your project!
