Monday, May 14, 2012 Spring into the Dream Pinterest Contest recently contacted me asking if I wanted $500 and hand off $500 to one of my readers.
Did I get your attention? :)

Alright so there's a tiny catch -- I have make a beautiful Pinterest board.
Torture right? is having a Spring into the Dream Pinterest Contest.  They've asked me to make a Pinterest board that showcases what "Spring into the Dream" means to me... whether it's my ideal home, my ideal yard, where I dream I could be living, anything I dream of really.

They way I interpreted "Spring into the Dream" was the chance to compile my realistic dream home.  A home that incorporates my love of rustic & industrial home decor, and doesn't hide the fact I live with kids.  I want a home that screams my decor style, but also allows us to "live in it".  You know, no "scary white rooms", no hands off areas in a home.  A kitchen that allows my kids to be a part of making meals, rather than constantly screaming at them to get out because there's nothing "in there for them".  A living room that can be easily organized and cleaned up to be "adult friendly" but has places for my son's toys and allows him to play at ease.
I literally want to Spring in my Dream by making this Pinterest board - I want to gather ideas that I can actually attain (hopefully sooner than later).

Here's a few ideas that are being pinned on my " Spring into the Dream" board so far:
(ps. I invite you to follow my board to help build your own ideas too!)

Spring into the Dream Post

A pretty consistent theme I see so far (which is what I wanted) was using rustic crates for storage, easy to clean fabrics for linens on couches and beds, creative and inventive ways to be organized with kid's toys throughout the home.
