Every Home Deserves the Perfect Black Door

dressing your home in the perfect black door
The other day I showed you how to prepare and get your door ready for it’s fresh coat of paint… and today I’m revealing our new gorgeous black door!

For a reminder, when I originally showed our new patio space, it looked like this:

Now here it is with it’s new black door.  It’s a simple quick change, but I think makes such a big impact!

I’m not sure why, but I was pretty nervous to make the change.  Now that I’ve done it, I think door makeovers may be my new obsession!

High Impact. Low Budget. = My kind of DIY project.

What do you think?

Either way I think you should come enjoy one of the Fall crisp nights and enjoy my door space with me!

Again, if you're going to paint your own exterior door be sure to check out my tips how to prepare your door here.

Thank again to 3M DIY for inspiring me to do this project!

  1. Makes a Hugh impact! Do you have window blinds on your exterior glass door? I have a door like that and have been at a loss trying to figure out how to cover it.

    1. Kelly,
Yup! There are specific length ones for doors with windows, and you can always have places like Home Depot or Lowe's cut your blinds to length if you buy from them.

  2. Hi! I love your gazebo - if that is what it is called- on your patio. Is that something you can leave out year-round?

    1. Thank you so much!!! It would depend on your location. We're in Virginia so we don't get a lot of snow so the weight on the cover isn't going to be an issue. However, we do have strong winds so I've taken down the cover during a really bad storm so it wouldn't rip the whole thing away.
Also, I would assume the more you leave it up during the tougher weather conditions to more you'll have to replace the canopy, and the netting panels.

      Hope that helps!

Love hearing back from my readers, you make my day! Thanks, Pamela of PBJstories
